From her early accomplishments to her thriving ventures in Bahrain and Sri Lanka, Elsie's story is one of determination, vision, and unwavering dedication.
A Passion Ignited:
At the tender age of 4, Elsie's creative flair blossomed as she sketched detailed cabinet designs and architectural elevations. Her talent continued to flourish, and at just 14 years old, she earned her Architectural Draftsman certificate from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). A regional painting contest victory during her senior year in high school further solidified her passion for the arts.
Educational Journey and Professional Success:
Elsie's pursuit of architectural excellence led her to the University of Bohol, where she graduated in 2004. With her architectural licensure test successfully passed in 2005, she was poised for a remarkable career. In 2006, her exceptional design skills and proficiency in Revit caught the attention of an employer from Bahrain, leading her to embark on an exciting chapter overseas.
Designing Landmarks in Bahrain:
During her tenure in Bahrain, Elsie left an indelible mark on the interior architecture landscape. Working on prestigious projects for renowned brands like Dessange Spa and Salon, Ducati Showroom, Rolls Royce Car Showroom, and Chloe Shop, Elsie showcased her exceptional talent and ability to bring visions to life. However, it was her time with Inner Vision that truly stood out. Mentored by Mr. Najeeb, the company's owner, Elsie honed her management skills while focusing on design review and project management—an approach that differed from the traditional practice in Bahrain.
A New Horizon: Sri Lanka:
In 2018, Elsie's journey took an unexpected turn as her family relocated to Sri Lanka. Undeterred, she continued to pursue her architectural career, leaving an indelible mark on the Sri Lankan architectural scene. Notably, she designed The Hotel Ozo, which has since transformed into the renowned Radisson Hotel. Elsie's portfolio includes a wide range of notable projects, such as the Galle Face Restoration, Jaguar and Land Rover Showroom, Ninewells Hospital Renovation, and the Knowledge City Malabe Campus.
A Continuing Legacy:
Despite her relocation, Elsie's loyalty to Inner Vision remains unwavering. She plans to establish a branch of the firm in Sri Lanka, forging business collaborations that will further expand her influence in the industry. She plans to focus on sustainable development and designing more smart homes. Elsie's dedication to her craft, combined with her visionary approach and unwavering commitment to excellence, continue to shape spaces and inspire architects around the world.
